Discernment Weekends To facilitate the discernment process of those interested in overseas mission, the Mission Office will offer "Discernment Weekends" three times during the year. Those interested in learning more about the life and challenges of being a Lay Mission-Helper are invited to participate in a weekend program. Participants will be able to meet veteran Lay Mission-Helpers and learn more about the challenges and joys of mission life. We will discuss where Lay Mission-Helpers are assigned and the type of work that they do. Participants will have an opportunity to discuss their questions, concerns, and expectations with the LMH team. There will be time for group discussions as well as individual meetings with members of the LMH team. The program begins on Friday evening and ends on Sunday afternoon. Discernment weekends for next year are scheduled for: June 27-29, 2008 September 19-21, 2008
